A smoothie added to your daily diet tends to give you that extra lift of extra nutrition. This nutrition is derived from the ingredients that are mixed into them, mostly fruits and vegetables.
Smoothies vs Juices
With a juice - you get just that - the juice and only the juice, from the fruit (or vegetable) as it is pushed through the extractor or press. The fibre and pulp from the fruit is left behind. A smoothie is the whole fruit including the fibre blended together .
Many nutritious and delicious smoothies can be made in daily routine, here is one of my favorite
Ingredients :
- 1 large Apple ( chop into pieces)
- 1 handful Blackberries
- 1 handful green seedless Grapes
- 1/4 cup Milk (Whole)
- 1 tsp Honey { I prefer honey over sugar }
- 2-3 cubes Ice
- Combine ingredients in blender.
- Cover and blend on high until smooth.
